It is recommended that you activate the “record to micro SD card“ setting and all uses of the camera (make sure there is a micro SD card in the camera).   It is also recommended that you use the “continuous“ setting to capture all events that occur in front of the camera.   However, if battery life is that a premium in the situation you are setting up, choose “events only” The camera will record a 12 second video whenever motion triggers it.
